[OGD] The Queen's English

I recall a conversation with my Ph.D. supervisor in Newcastle upon Tyne 
(where they most definitely do not speek any Queen's English). Asking 
him what "Oxford English [I believe that is the official designation for 
THE Queen's English] " was, he replied: "some strange dialect only 
spoken by a few people  at the Oxford English language department."
