Although I am by now means a taxonomist, in response to Gary Wills
inquiry regarding Paph. palawense (not palawanense), Mr. Wills is correct
that this term refers to Paph. philippenense. It is simply a nomen nudum
for this species.

I also believe that in addition to the misspelling by the E-bay seller,
he has confused this plant with Paph. stonei var. latifolium which is no
longer classified as a variety of Paph. stonei. Instead, is now known as
Paph. platyphyllum (Yukawa ex Gruss) (Die Orchidee; 52(1):84-87; 2001).
This is the ONLY species that has been "upgraded" from Paph. stonei in
recent years of which I am aware.

Perhaps, one of our friendly neighborhood taxonomists can provide more
information. Best of luck
