Hello All,
I've been too busy to read or respond much but, the pollination thing
has an interest for me. I have plants of Epidendrum diffusum I collected in
Jamaica & Ancile Gloudon called them them the "mosquito orchid" years ago. I
imported them to Minnesota- where the "mosquito" is considered the state bird & I
still find Jamaican plants are pollinated by Minnesota mosquitos during the
summer months. The only critters living in my growroom in the winter are the
plants, Mealy bug, scale & bush snails. Now every one is outside for the
summer & it is war on cooties!!
Happy Independence day- wish it was so for everyone...
Kathy in MN
