Surely this is very upsetting to both yourself and you daughter-- I empathize with your situation as I had similar problems with my boyfriend (who is not a US citizen) Is there not a direct flight to Canada from Tokyo? I've flown several times on QANTAS straight into Canada from the Pacific and I know JAL must have flights---I believe they have one from Tokyo to Toronto.
