Scott,
I can recommend something I am doing right now for a humidifier. I use an inexpensive airbrush and airbrush pump I have. I have it plugged into a humidistat that I got with my Hermidifier, that died after two years of poor performance. I bought the airbrush cheap on eBay, and the pump from friend that used to do air brush art work. Together the air brush, pump and humidistat give me a very workable humidifier for my Masdevallia collection in my basement. I have a several small 12 volt computer fans circulating air, I power them from old 12 volt power supplies I have collected off old electronics with 12 volt power. I set the air brush to give me the finest mist it can and position it in front of one of the fans. When the humidistat calls for more humidity, the fan distributes a very fine mist through out my area. I use water I collect from my air conditioner condensate in the summer, and from my pulse furnace in the winter. The whole thing cost me less than $50 and I only have to clean the air brushes about once a year.

Can anyone recommend any humidifiers to use in a basement grow room? The corner I grow in will be surrounded with plastic, but this alone will not raise levels high enough to keep the Draculas and such that I desire. Are typical room humidifiers up to the task? Any particular makes/models that have worked for others?
Thanks for any advise. Scott _______________________________________________ the OrchidGuide Digest (OGD) [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.orchidguide.com/mailman/listinfo/orchids
