Dear Dick Thomson, I had same same problem Orchis italica seed germination using mychorrhiza. I used to wheat-yeast-agar media. I think, fungi is not need to co-working with orchid seeds in this everything is ready medium. So, I left the using mycorrhiza at germination stage. I'm using at the de-flasking stage.
