Kenneth -

I have been concerned about everything that you mention in your email. I always
thought the main focus of the AOS was education and they did not even put in a
classroom. The classes they are having are being held in the employee lunchroom. I
am also concerned because I have read many threads on this site and the AOS Forum
regarding how people have tried to get ahold of a Board Member or Lee Cooke and
receive no replies. When I called to update my information in the directory I was
absolutely shocked by the price. This is apparently over double what the cost was a
few years back. And there was no mention of this price in any of the ads regarding
the directory.

I know we are to vote for a new slate soon. There are bios available from the AOS,
but my concern is that I would like to know more about what they will do to 'save' the
AOS. I would also like to know how the alternate slate feels so I may vote
accordingly.

With dues going up, no education available to anyone living outside their immediate
area, the cost of the building, more and more tourist information so they can charge
people to tour, not wanting any donations of plants, etc. It just seems to me that
the current direction goes against the mission.

Any other thoughts or information?

Syd
