I am just an interested and enquiring member of AOS who also is a recently appointed member of the Research Committee. As a former AOS employee, maybe I am in a better position to know about AOS matters than Mr. Ginsberg. Unlike some of the other attendees at AOS meetings I have never referred to matters that were discussed in committee. However it did give me an insight into the skills of various office holders. From the day I left the AOS, July 1, 2003, I have been forthright in my view that Howard Bronstein would be a President of disastrous impact. Maybe someone listened to me but more likely others came to the same conclusion independently. Fortunately, one of the strengths of the AOS volunteer hierarchy is their ability to think things through and ask questions until they are satisfied with the answers. If I can contribute to the discussion in any way then I am happy to do so.
