By referring to the special issue of the Orchid Digest, An Annotated Checklist of the Genus Anguloa, I was able to re-identify a plant bought as Anguloa virginalis from Hoosier Orchids.
Apparently, the plant I have would be, instead, Anguloa eburnea (photo and illustration in the checklist, page 17).
But, nothing being simple, the author of the above mentioned checklist indicates that he considers the original painting of the illustration published in the Botanical Magazine as the iconotype for Anguloa eburnea.

I suspect that the latter is not an illustration of Anguloa eburnea nor of A. uniflora...
