I was in California last week and it amazed me to see the wastage of water
there.Irrigation on grass naturestrips twice a day even irrigation on a
succulent garden every afternoon.There was even the hosing down of pathways
to remove leaves and other debris everyday where a blower or broom could do
the same job. I guess i noticed because we are under rather tough water
restrictions where watering by hand is only allowed three days per week at
certain hours,drip irrigation is allowed anytime though ,no hosing of paths
or hard surfaces and cars to be washed by buckets etc etc.
Turning seawater into drinkable water cheaply would be akin to finding
the richest vein of gold.
