I know, I know, you've never forgiven me for not using that pathetic little article on growing under lights you sent to the AOS when I worked there. Maybe you should send it to the Orchid Digest? The Orchid Digest magazine is very good and so it should be, coming out only quarterly for the rather steep price of $7 per issue. On that basis Orchids should be $84 per year so you have reinforced just what a bargain AOS membership is. For about half that amount, AOS members get a monthly magazine, an organization that represents them nationally and internationally plus supports research and conservation when the projects are considered worthy of support. I have no wish to cause any dissent between the two, both are important in their own way as is the Cymbidium Society of America, the IPA etc etc. The fact is that all these organizations are happy to be affiliated with the AOS, not the reverse.
