for Paul on flowering Brassavola Nodosa and other Brassavolas
Not only do they need strong ligh and lots of it and for a longer period than other species, also they like dry medium and lots of humidity. I have seen nodosas growing on palm tree trunks in Isla Mujeres, Yucatan. The year Kennedy was killed, before CITES and all that c---p I was given a piece of that plant and contrabanded it home. For many years it did not bloom until I gave it more light.
