My humble apologies. Membership dues for the ORCHID DIGEST magazine change on SEPTEMBER 1, 2004, not January 1, 2005. Annual membership is $32 for the quarterly journal, effective the FIRST OF SEPTEMBER. The date I gave in a posting here a few weeks ago was incorrect, and is causing our membership chair a minor coronary! Wed love you to join; just please understand that membership is now $32, not $28.
And now the GOOD news: weve been able to extend the time you new members will receive the 96 page Cattleya Alliance special issue. Those who join by November 15th and will receive it as one of your four annual issues. (Join after November 15th, the special issue will be available only separately, for $30, while supplies last.) If you missed the earlier posting (with the wrong date :-), heres whats due off the Orchid Digest presses in early October: Carter and Holmes Cattleyas: Fifty Years and the Future - by Gene Crocker Growing Rupicolous Laelias by Greg Allikas Cattleya labiata Gallery by Lou Menezes Cattleya Species and their Culture by William Rogerson Reappraisal of Laeliinae by Cassio van den Berg and Mark Chase Miniature Cattleyas for All Situations by Alan Koch Plus the new genus Adamantinia, orchid humor and much more.
