Hi all.

Thanks for the many replys off line and online in regards to the colour of
paphiopedilum.
being a lime greenish/Golden yellow in Colour.
Seems as if many grower's have had different varriation of light to pale
green to yellow.

As one said, take a look at the range of colour avaible in paphiopedilum
micranthum/
Looking throught the latest books on Paphiopedilums I came accross several
photo's of Paphiopedilum malipoense.
All of different shade of lime green to palest whiteish green.
Very interesting, would love to a group photograph of them.
Do judges read the latest book released on new varietes of orchids, I fear
not.

Interesting question on the effect of bright light on the >matureing colour
of Paphiopedilum malipoense.
Recently at a show I had my malipoense questioned on it >being a species or
hybred bred plant by the one of two judges judgeing. (he >would not judge
it).
