Hi Marianne
>From my packet, 'sprinkle evenly 8-10cm apart ---- 100 baits per square metre.
Use gloves, avoid contact with eyes and mouth --- keep away from children and
pets'

I used to be a bit heavy handed putting out the baits, but that is a waste.
Snails love it and will come to the baits, if I had a problem with garlic
snails I would put one or two on the individual pot - more for a larger pot. I
usually sprinkle on the bench, and on the ground underneath. Some dogs do love
them so the pellets can be put in a container with a lid and a hole for the
snails (on the ground). I would think they would last longer than a couple of
days, they will break down on contact with water.
Our main problem is the larger 'garden snails' that like to try every Phal
leaf.......
