Viateur, the hundreds of varieties you speak of could not possibly be wild collected plants if they hold the form of flower as a modern hybrid. They must be of a man made version. Yes, many thousands of plants would have been collected over the years but none that I have seen or those grown by the Professionals here resemble those made by man. I do not know of the works you mentioned, it may of course be excellent, it just seems to extend the field from the wild to the nursery. There are many fields in which one can check on the flower form and color of Odont crispum, if they show anything other than white starry flowers, then they are not Odont crispum. I will check thru my references and will add something to this discussion later. ROY
