The sentence is correct. This species receives the longest dry spell of any in my collection. The mature pseudobulbs end up with severe crenation, and do not plump up until about the following October. The new inflorescence does not appear until about April, from the new growth which started in Dec-Jan, and this new growth does not really enlarge until after flowers are gone, and this becomes mature in time for the next new growth in Dec-Jan.
