The comments of Martin Epstein and Bill Bergstrom about George Norris remind
me of the extent to which George resembles the late Fred Fuchs Jr., vendor
of species orchids in Miami and father of Bob Fuchs. The politics old Fred
spouted were a little to the right of Attila the Hun, and like George, he was
addicted to using foul language. But despite all this he was a lovable
character whom we all miss very much.
As for Michael Kovach, who "...got away with little penalty" [Epstein],
remember the prosecution [persecution?] of Kovach already resulted in the
loss of his business and marriage. If I am right in my facts, Kovach has not
yet faced final sentencing.
My thanks to Viateur for correcting my orthography of Jean Valjean.
"Jean Val Jean" did not look quite right to me, but it has been 57 years since I
read the thing.

              Bert Pressman
