Dear Sue,

Eriopsis biloba and E. sceptrum (yes, the spelling was that bungled)
should both be grown in baskets of medium grade epiphyte mixture. Do not
overpot. Grow them in bright diffused light, intermediate temperatures, and
water regularly throughout the year allowing them to slightly dry out
between waterings. In essence they should be grown like Cyrtopodium but
without full light.

I have seen plants of what is probably E. biloba in the Guianas out of
flower at around 600 m.

Some species produce typical roots while others produce dimorphic roots
with stiffly erect root branches. The taxonomy is a mess despite the small
size of the genus but they are all horticulturally desirable.
