I was recently doing a brief article on Dendrochilum filiforme for our Society's Bulletin and was interested to find that the Dendrochilum genus seems to have been overlooked by the hybridists. Surely this cannot be the case. Are there any popular Dendrochilum hybrids being traded across tables or listed in catalogues out there in the real world?

You'd need a mighty small toothpick to achieve pollination, no? I know some people make crosses of very small orchids using sewing needles to transfer pollen, as well as magnifying lenses in order to see the stigmatous surface. That said, surely there are some larger Dendrochilum species that would lend themselves more readily to the physical limitations of man-made pollination ( limitations such as old eyes and unsteady hands, *G*). If you get no responses it would be a fun thing to try out yourself.
