Norris was one of the great characters of the orchid world and the ultimate orchid trader. He loved his Paphs and was the founder of the Paphiopedilum Guild which sponsored some of the greatest Paphiopedilum lecture programs ever heard. Also, Norris had a healthy disrespect for authority and bureaucratic regulations.
At this sad time I could not help but chuckle at the thought of how he and Iris might have interacted. Doubt she ever met the man but I would give a few grand to have been a fly on the wall if they had ever talked orchids for an hour or so!!
