The biggest issue for storing fertilizer stock solutions is the quality of the water used in the mix. If it is highly acid or basic or contains high levels of certain minerals it can cause precipitation of the solution, usually evident by a "sludge" at the bottom of the storage vessel. Using RO or DI water to make up the stock solution is the best preventative for this problem. As far as bacteria or such they have to be pretty hardy to live in a stock solution. If precipitation is a problem it is usually evident in a short ( hours ) time frame. I have kept stock solution s for months with no adverse affects.

I was curious If anyone has an idea of how long you can keep stock fertilizer solution (in the greenhouse) before it deteriorates.

I use a Dosmatic system that has a 128:1 dilution ratio.  Since I water / fertilize once or twice a week, I tend to have the stock solution (about 10 tbs / per gallon) sitting for the about a month before it is consume.

My concern is that the algae or bacteria may be degrading the fertilizer.  Any comments?

Neil
