Marianne, I wouldn't give much credence to the story Viateur found about the Lyrebirds earing endangered orchids. The main area inhabited by the rather large and flambouyant Lyrebird is the many mountainous forest ranges of Victoria (Australia). Tasmania is a relatively small island State with a VAST area of wilderness, and not too many orchids (terrestrials) are found there but are shared with Victoria.
