Thanks to all who chimed in on both this species and
also contributed to the fascinating discussion of
these upward-growing roots.
I was advised when I bought this plant that I'd need
to repot and somehow force those roots into the
potting medium - luckily, I have not yet had time to
shoot myself in the foot!
