Barkeria will drop their leaves in dormancy. Water them bi-weekly.

Hello I have a Barkeria shoemakeri that has just ended a 4 month blooming
period.It is just sitting there, is this a dormant period? I have not had
this plant long enough to recognize its habits. It is recommended that I
reduce watering during the dormant period. Can someone please set me
straight?
