Roy, The issue is not carbon dioxide, which is actually OK for plants (up to a point), but incomplete combustion which leads to the formation of ethylene gas, which IS toxic to plants.
Generally, you want a vented heater for the welfare of both the plants and you, and only use an unvented one in emergencies. Would there be too much CO2 produced and would thus have a negative effect on the plants? I need to put some heating in and electricity is expensive and the only other option is bottled gas. Finding a suitable heater is also difficult. Roy --------------------------------- Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo!
