A couple of things that I do.
If they are not too large (less than 5 feet or so tall: Make a tube from
plastic covered fencing. I usally use fencing that has 2 or so inch holes.
Sink the tube all the way to the bottom of the pot and fill with some type
of aliflor mix.
If taller do what Herman of Oak Hills Gardens does - lash them to the roof.
