Hi folks! It seems there is always something new to learn about old stuff. For the past thirty years I have been using pins, hangers and hooks made from regular galvanized iron but at the monthly meeting of our SOEM we were told never to use metal baskets or metal anythings because the metal oxidizes and harms the plant. Our speaker, an esteemed professional grower, has gone so far as to use the stuff plastic straws are made of to cover all the metal surfaces that come in contact with the plant. ?????????????????????????
