Hi Jean,

Sounds like the kind of weather that causes us problems with our Paphs too. High heat and low humidity especiallyif the skies are clear can be a real stressor on a lot of orchids. if you know in advance that you  are going to have that kind of weather in advance put up extra shade. We have a seasonal period every year before the rainy season starts when we put up extra shade and it helps a lot.
