I have a copy of Ruben's collected works and did
not find any article about Onc. guttatum. However, there are two articles that
do mention it as a misidentification by J. K. Small of the Florida species
Oncidium undulatum. The first is in the July 1991 Fairchild Tropical Garden
Bulletin and the second is in the 1991 Orchid Digest 55 (4):167-170. As I am
sure you have the Orchid Digest you can just look it up. If you don't have it I
can send you a copy.
Both articles are very similar.
