I suggest that a viable colony of cyps in my back yard is just as
'available' to nature's gene pool as ones in any other location and that if
I told AJ Hicks or Hoosier Orchids or in this case those specializing in Cyp
production from seed that I had the colony it would be even more available
to the gene bank than the ones I saw in Pokagon Park, IN a couple of years
ago. Poor example because they are gone now. I suspect eaten by the deer
that up until a few years ago were not 'harvested' and ate everything. Deer
herd levels that were uncontrolled because of the actions of some
'conservationists' (and those people that killed off the needed predators.)
