I have placed two articles written by the late Herb Hager in the 'Suggested
Reading' section of the OrchidSafari Archives. These join the articles by
Gavino Rotor I archived earlier.
One article is titled 'Growing Cattleyas from Seed to Flower in 2 1/2
Years', the Other is 'Control of Flowering in Cattleyas'. They date from
the mid 1950s.
While I don't expect anyone actually wants to force their plants to flower
in time for the holidays, these articles, when taken with Rotor's works and
Wang's works, do give you a hint as to what's behind a cattleya's flower.
