Hi.

Towards the end of 2004, I announced the discovery of a large-flowered
showy Vanda (the Candystripe Vanda) from Sulawesi, that I eventually
decided was Vanda arcuata J.J.Smith. Early last year I saw plants of
V. arcuata that had originated close to the Type locality, and it was
immediately obvious that the taxon I had labelled V. arcuata was
actually an undescribed species.

This species has now been formally published as Vanda jennae O'Byrne &
Vermeulen, in Malayan Orchid Review 39: 85-89, 91 (2005). If anyone
has used the incorrect name for photos or flasks, then please change
the name. If you've got flasks, then you're in for a real treat when
it flowers.
