I have seen color break in orchid flowers caused by virus, as well as soft brown spotting on white flowers and a very short life span, but I haven't really identified distortion on any of my virused plants.  Below is a picture gallery that I am building that shows some of the symptoms I've seem.  I have seen: 1) color break, a certain indicator of virus and looks like water marks.  2) black spots, generally larger than fungal spot, and sunken.  In particular is the tendency for the spots to align along a vein.  3) crooked growth.  I am reminded of the rhyme or story of 'The crooked man that walked the crocked mile...".  3) large lighter spots that are outlined in black.and other flower like patterns.  4) odd spots of chlorophyll loss that are very small and run along the leaf veins a very short distance.  If I think of any others shortly, I will add them in a further email.  I have tested about 50 plants so far, some of the worst looking, and have about a 2/3s virused rate.  I just sent out another 125 samples for testing, so the pbase site will be updated as soon as I get results.  Cynthia, Prescott, AZ
