Hi Iris - In the deep south, many people seem to keep cymbidiums as outdoor plants. I've heard of those who went so far as to put the pot into a cooler, which is kept filled with ice, renewed as it melts, until the inflorescence is well established. A bit radical, but sometimes our winters can be too warm. Regards - Nancy
