Who should I contact to ID an Epidendrum species?

For the plant in question, all I have at this point are photographs from its
blooming last year. I attepted to ID it myself after reading descriptions
and looking at photos and thought the plant to be Epidendrum purum, but AOS
judges here refused to take a close look at it claiming it "probably" wasn't
a correct ID.

The plant was approximately 60 cm tall, with closely spaced growths
consisting of a cane more like a pseudobulb thicker in the middle (5cm) that
at the ends (2cm). The inflorescence was approximately 50 cm tall, widely
branching, with branches approximately 35 cm long. White flowers
approximately 1.5 cm across with very pubescent pedicle and inflorescence.
Strong melon-like fragrance. Here are links to some photos:

I now have six ripe capsules full of fertile seed. Any help in the right
direction would be appreciated.
