Dear Steve,

I must say, I have gained a new respect for you. And you can blame Ronald Reagan on my generation, but not Arnold. Unfortunately, I think it began "going wrong" when people started equating conserving (values, heritage) with conservatism.

However, I disagree that my statement is moot. It is my understanding that at the current rate, the world's population will double in 25 - 30 years. Even if we were to cut back current consumption and pollution in half by then, well, you do the math...

I say population/consumption/pollution go hand in hand. You will never control any one of them without addressing the others.

Where did it all start going wrong?
