Richard,
Re: Your request for a photograph of Epc. Sylvester.
Apparently the vendor misspelled the grex name.
Entering Sylvester for a search using "OrchidWiz Encyclopedia" (what a
wonderful program!) produced no results, but a search using the parents C.
skinneri and E. cordigera resulted in the grex Epc.
Silvester.
Doing a Google search on the Internet for "Epc. Silvester orchid" yielded
many responses. One of those included a photograph of Epc.
Silvester. I did not check any of the other Google hits.
Try:
Good luck with the seedlings, I hope they are great and even exceed your
expectations. A grower who buys nothing but mericlones or seedlings in
flower, misses the anticipation and the excitement of seeing the first flowering
of a seedling plant and knowing there is no other plant in existence just like
your plant. Then, there is the thrill of waiting for subsequent flowerings
since with many orchids, the flower quality often improves as the
plant matures. |
