Definitive answers in taxonomy do not really exist,
as such. This is because various experts have different opinions, and that is as
it should be. Most often by general consensus a taxon becomes
accepted under a name, and more or less becomes the "definitive answer".
However, to your question. Epidendrum porpax is a synonym for Epidendrum
peperomia. Therefore it is an Epidendrum and the correct
species epitaph is peperomia. The expert in this case is
Kew.
