If you're not used to leaving digital breadcrumbs everywhere you visit, then
perhaps the Internet isn't the place for you.

I'm not the list owner, but I'm pretty sure the only way to not have your
posts archived for others to search is to unsubscribe from the list.

The accumulated knowledge present on the Orchid Guide mailing list is
enormous and having it stored and easily indexed only increases the
usefulness of that knowledge. 

As the old saying goes, if you're not comfortable seeing what you've posted
in a newsgroup, mailing list, or a private email on the front page of the
New York Times, then think twice about even posting it.

Not trying to be mean, just a little surprised that 20 years into the
Internet, people are still shocked that what they write is preserved
forever.
