My wife will attest to the fact that thrips are active at all times of the day, 
they bite her!! I just had to break out the Avid and treat the whole greenhouse 
because she could't work in there even during the day. Most people are 
oblivious to the fact that thrips are present but some people here at work are 
our notification alerts because they bite them as well, works even better than 
blue sticky cards, which BTW make excellent control measures for small confined 
spaces.
