With all these words of wisdom and prejudice flying
about, could someone give a thought to the legality of making an age/eyesight
limit on such an aactivity. After all, it doesn't seem to matter too much in
other spheres of judging, why a difference with orchids. In any case, many
(if not most) of competition enthusiasts are similarly afflicted by age and
less-than-perfect eyesight. (Beethoven was deaf; would've been a pity if he'd
been barred from composing!)
