Could the plant in question be Laelia/Hoffmannseggella/Sophronitis bahiensis?
I doubt it. There is a picture of it in one of the catalogues, & the registration came in with a description. It is definitely a Brassavola, possibly a depauperate version of B. nodosa or B. cebolleta.
I will have to see it to be more certain.
