Hi Iris,

Isn’t plant registration fun?

According to a manuscript by Carl Withner, your plant of B. bahiensis may well be Brassavola cebolleta. He writes: “Synonyms may include Bletia cebolleta Reichenbach f., B. "bahiensis" an unpublished horticultural epithet, and Brassavola reginae Pabst.”

Full text of this review of the genus Brassavola is scheduled for publication in Orchid Digest in 2007.

Good luck with your show,

Cynthia
