Greetings Orchid Experts,
I have a largish Den speciosum that I've been growing for 5 years and this year I notice it's getting bumps on the upper nodes of the canes which I think may become spikes if I'm lucky!!
My question for you is about watering. I live on the Central California coast and it's fall here, which means cool nights, warm days and no rain yet.
Some places I've read say NO water and no fertilizer starting November 1st until the spring and other places say SOME water and no fertilizer. All recommend a bright spot for this rest period.
What are your opinions. I'd really like to get this plant to bloom!!
