Phil, My E. petersii set a pod several years ago that went unharvested. My best recollection is that it was about five months before it opened.
I am curious how you are growing yours. Mine are in straight pumice. Although they do well in direct sunlight here in So. California during the summer, I have some difficulty getting them through the winter. They seem particularly vulnerable to any cold/damp weather. What conditions do you subject yours to in the six months prior to bloom?
