That is a most interesting assertion. I guess that some authors would indicate different altitudes : 800-1800m, 1000-2300m... but Oliver is probably quite right. I would certainly like to learn more on that topic. Could you recommend any 'compulsory' books or articles on the occurrence of orchids in relation to altitudes ? I presume some scientists have studied that aspect of ecology, for a particular country or natural region. Thanks in advance for pointing out references.
