Someone recently asked about possible speakers for their orchid society. I have a suggestion.
If you would like a speaker whose knowledge about orchids is both broad and deep, who is enthusiastic, (he's been known to drive 900 miles on the weekend just to photograph a plant in bloom), widely traveled, and has spectacular photographs, Ron Parsons is a great choice. I have heard Ron speak on five occasions here in California and consider him among the best. He has over 80,000 slides of flowers and habitat in his collection, all committed to memory.
