This is to sincerely thank Phil Diamond, Kenneth A. Roberts and Alan W. Stephenson for their help in reply to my request for an article in The Orchadian; your assistance is much appreciated!
The article relates to a Taurantha (Pterostylis) species I had flowering in my collection some two months ago. Despite being labelled, its identity was highly questionable. I consulted David L. Jones on the matter and he identified my plant as Taurantha splendens. This is an apparently rare endemic from New Caledonia, and I guess I may count myself very lucky having stumbled upon it by chance! In case anyone is interested in a couple of pictures, please see: http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r62/Quokka_1/Taurantha_splendens_6382.png http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r62/Quokka_1/Taurantha_splendens_6397.png http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r62/Quokka_1/Taurantha_splendens_6393.png http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r62/Quokka_1/Taurantha_splendens_6390.png http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r62/Quokka_1/Taurantha_splendens_6379.png With best regards, Simon M.
