Dear OGD's
IOSPE or www.orchidspecies.com is now back up and I think 100%
operational. I had a major server debacle and it took 8 days to reupload
the entire site. I guess there is a mountain of information there
because it took forever to upload.
I have added another 30 new species and a new genus [Dichromanthus] in
the meantime and also added my traveloge on Colombia
http://www.orchidspecies.com/colombia06.htm
Lots of landscapes, orchids and Colombian culture.
Expect tons of new information on all Asian species as I have 10 new
books arriving in the next few days on Sumatra, Borneo, Cambodia,
Vietnam and Thailand.
I have added many new Epidendrum and Mexican species with the help of
Eric Hagsater and his Icones Orchidacearum series.
Again I am sorry for any inconvinience that the sites disappearance may
have caused. I was shocked more than anyone and have hardly slept so the
site could return as quickly as possible. Next weekend is the Tamiami
show and I will be there for all three days so if anyone wants to meet
me write and let me know where and when you will be there. I will be
hanging with Ruben Salueda [Rubin in Orchids] and Rafael Romero
[Plantio de Orquideas]. Stop by for a chat!
